Painting 20
We’ve started renovating and repainting some of the Bachelor Rooms, and 20 was first to see the splash of color. We went with blue and orange, well, because they looked nice, I’ll post some more pictures when we’re done!

Thanks to Surfer Boy Networks for Stopping By
Over the weekend we were housing Bo O’Connell and the Surfer Boy Networks. They were beginning production on their new made for TV documentary, “Voices in the Sand, The Homeless Bohemian Subculture of Venice Beach”, based on Bo’s book, Homeless in Paradise. They filmed a few interviews in our lobby, and interviewed our own Scotty & Eric as well. Check them out and get a book, it’s a pretty interesting read if you ever wanted to learn more about the people who inhabit the unseen paradise. Bo was actually nice enough to write his own comment on our wall, so thanks Bo, we really appreciate that.
Room 12 is Pink!
Tanje finished up 12 today, what do you think? The pictures really don’t do it justice, you gotta see those colors to believe it, it just feels like a different world in there now. Thanks again Tanje for doing that, we really appreciate it, and if anyone else is interested in painting one of our rooms, contact us and let us know why you should get a room to paint, we’re open to anyone that can prove they want it bad enough. 
The 33nd Annual Festival of the Chariots
The 33nd Annual Festival of the Chariots rolled into Venice Beach on Sunday, August 2, 2009. The festival commences at 10:00 a.m. at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium and proceeds south on Main St., with three fully decorated, four-story chariots leading a colorful parade toward the Ocean Front Walk Plaza.

Some really great guys with a great program, they were nice enough to let us sit in on a session, and we learned a lot more than just ableton from them, we highly recommend checking out one of there Live Courses if you get a chance.
